Over the past month, I’ve found myself at dinners with people who mentioned that they’d seen Elvis play in Vegas and the Beatles play in Germany, and I felt a little jealous, until I remembered that I was lucky enough to see Townes play two shows at the Cactus Cafe in Austin, Texas, shortly before he died.
